My name is DrFred and... I am an addict. In fact, at some point in my life, I have actively been addicted to some degree to nearly everything on this site. With an incredible amount of luck and help from a number of people and ideas, I have found my way into recovery, and am enjoying my life more than ever. I am a psychiatric physician treating addictions and other psychiatric conditions as my other occupation. I am constantly growing in my understanding of this significant state (or disease?) known as ADDICTION. I do not use this site to become anybody's physician however, but my experience on both sides of treatment does come in handy. Hence, the beginning of AddictSupport.com. So far, the experience has been wonderful! Now we launch the site and offer this type of support to anybody that is interested! It is my goal to direct the site based solely on the needs of its members, and it truly a pleasure to present the contemporary, multi-functional addiction support group that will help all people gain insight into the powerful world of addiction.
